Integrative Therapeutic Guidance

THE HEART OF MY PRACTICE

Snow-capped mountains surrounding a body of water with clouds in the sky.

This is deep, individualized, relational work grounded in the Comprehensive Resource Model™ (CRM), a neuro-biologically informed approach that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Drawing from nearly 30 years of clinical experience with complex trauma, dissociation, and early attachment wounding, I offer a space where healing can unfold at the pace your system needs.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Typical sessions are co-created. As a key partner in this work, I will need you to articulate your inner experience as best you can. Early in our work, I will use questions, always with the intention of helping me understand what you are sharing or not sharing. Respect and permission are cornerstone principles I align with and communicate from. Even in deep therapeutic work, you get to have boundaries. Feedback goes both ways and will support where we begin each session. During inner work, as your guide, I will prompt you to access resources both known and unknown to you, offer suggestions as you make decisions, keep time and hold space in the room, attune to you and your experience, support nervous system regulation, and work with what emerges. CRM™ allows access to deep material while maintaining grounding and safety. Every session includes intentional closure, so you leave settled, not activated.
You will often have homework or a skill to practice. To get where you want with Integrative Therapeutic Guidance, your practice of skills outside of sessions is instrumental in supporting your learning, building trust in your body’s innate wisdom as you walk through something new and possibly uncharted, and trusting in the resources that come to you and keep coming.

If there are blocks to your practice outside of therapy, it is strongly recommended that you communicate with me sometime before your next appointment. A brief coaching phone call may make a big difference. I will ask what you have identified as the block, and your experience of it (emotions, judgments, sensations in the body). Have you already tried a skill with what presented as a block? A coaching call is intended to last 15-20 minutes and is at no additional cost to you.

This work is not about fixing. It is about returning to wholeness, at a rhythm that respects your complexity.

An Integrated Approach

This work integrates Modalities and Theories to help you understand how developmental trauma can shape neurophysiology and lived experience. We explore how shock, survival, and regulated states may show up in the body, while also building embodied skills for containment and stabilization. Attention is given to the role of the vagus nerve in supporting regulation, connection, and the way you experience yourself and others.

Depending on your needs, our work together may integrate:

A body of water in a valley with steep, misty mountains on either side and a waterfall in the distance.

PACING

Session frequency is determined collaboratively. Some clients benefit from 1-2 weekly sessions; others find that biweekly or monthly pacing supports integration later in their process. We will find what works for your nervous system and your life. Typically, the greater your need, the more often you come. If you are genuinely living in distress to the degree it is impacting most areas of your life, I will recommend a minimum of weekly appointments until some quality of life changes are felt, integrated and maintained. You will always be responsible for how often you come regardless of my recommendations.
